Associateships
When considering an associateship, its important to look closely as to whether it is a career opportunity or just a job. Additionally, it is just as important to ask yourself whether you are looking for a career opportunity or just a job - there is a difference!
Once you've determined the scope of the opportunity and what you're looking for, review the compensation structure, position responsibilities and restrictive covenant (where applicable). If your intent is for this to be an eventual path to ownership and have dermined the possibility to be there, look deeper to ensure the opportunity continuing development – both clinically and managerially. Does the opportunity the practice owner is promising really exist?
After your review, its always helps to ask questions of and receive advice from outside parties familiar with these types of agreements, arrangements and structures.
